| | |   In the Republican Children's Library, one held a presentation of new books by KulerTepukov. Books for children in Altai language were published with the assistance of the Member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from the Government of the Altai Republic Victor Lopatnikov. Victor Lopatnikov in his speech said: "The fact that a number of children's books in Altai language is really small, can be regarded as a serious national problem. I truly understand the importance of publishing children's books in Altai language". A teacher of Altai language of the National school N 7 Julia Sadanchikova told that books for children by Kuler Tepukov are widely used at Altai language lessons. In the name of teacher’s staff of the school, Julia Sadanchikova thanked a writer and senator for their valuable contribution to noble cause.

According to the control centre of the forestry ministry of the Altai Republic, at the present moment, there are no active forest fires in the territory of the republic. For the last twenty-four hours, one liquidated three forest fires in the area of 138.3 hectares (forest) and 15 hectares (non-forest). 33 units of fire equipment, helicopter MI-8, 88 firemen were working at firefighting. Year-to-date, 88 forest fires on the total area of 2511.2 hectares were registered in the Altai Republic.

| | |  In the autonomous institution of the Altai Republic "Complex center of social service of the population", one realizes a new social service since the May 2012 - "On-line consulting of families with a purpose of overcoming difficult vital situation". A remote - Internet - service is available to children, teenagers and their parents. Consultations are rendered to families by experts of the center, including a lawyer, a psychologist, a specialist in social work. Questions to specialists are very different, for example relationship between children and parents, family conflicts, problems with training and education, receiving of social services in the territory of the Altai Republic and many others.

| | |  According to the results of weekly monitoring of the committee of employment of the Altai Republic, a level of registered unemployment to the day of May 15, compared with the previous period has decreased from 3.02% up to 2.98% of the economically active population. During the last week, 159 persons were registered as unemployed at Employment Services of the Altai Republic including 8 persons who was dismiss from office in connection with liquidation of organization or staff reduction.

In the municipal museum in Verh-Uymon village of the Ust-Koksinsky region of the Altai Republic in the exhibition hall "Nature", one opened an exposition dedicated to the Katunsky Biosphere Reserve. Especially for the museum, one prepared and decorated an information stand about the reserve and its activity; which was presented to visitors by deputy director for environmental education Anna Maymanova.

| | |  Retail trade turnover for all channels of sales in January - April 2012 amounted, according to preliminary data, 4410.7 million rubles, or in 2.1% more in comparison with the previous year (in the mass of commodities). Specific weight of sales of foodstuffs, including beverages and tobacco in total retail trade turnover amounted 48.9%, nonfoods - 51.1%. Public catering turnover in January-April formed at a rate of 188.2 million rubles; that is in comparable prices in 10.6% more than in relevant period of 2011. Let’s remind that in 2011 retail trade turnover in the Altai Republic amounted 14.1 billion rubles, which is in 7.6 percent more than in previous year.

| | |  In the Altai Republic, one prepares for summer health campaign. According to Federal service on customers' rights protection and human well-being surveillance in the Altai Republic, 100% of personnel of summer camps pass out hygiene training, 82% were medically examined. Kitchen personnel were examined for the purpose of detection of enteric infection of viral aetiology. One continue medical inspections of personnel of children summer camps in the Shebalinsky, Ust-Kansky, Ulagansky and Kosh-Agachsky regions of the Altai Republic.

| | |  The Altai Republic in the exhibition this year will be represented by the four pedigry animal breeding farms. The agricultural production cooperative "Ortolyk" of the Kosh-Agachskiy municipality will present gray goats of the gorno-altaisky breed of the chuyskiy type, Michael Company Limited of the Ongudayskiy municipality will present white goats of the gorno-altaisky breed of the seminsky type, agricultural production cooperative "Yabogan" of the Ust-Kanskiy municipality will present sheep of gorno- altaisky breed of wool and meat type and open society "Katanda" of the Ust-Koksinsky municipality will present sheep of the gorno- altaisky breed. In total, 16 head of sheep and 12 head of goats will be represented in the exhibition. This year, an annual event will take place in Chita city at the beginning of June. Traditionally, such regions as the Altai Republic, Altai Territory, Tuva Republic, Trans-Baikal territory and Buryat Republic.

| | |  According to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation about the allocation of subsidies from the federal budget, the Altai Republic will receive in 2013 14.315 million rubles for purchase of equipment for prefabricated sports and health-improving complexes, including fabricated metals and metal goods. The funds will be directed for equipment of sports and health-improving complex in Mayma village with sport manufacturing equipment. The equipment list is quite diverse. These are fabricated metals and metal goods, roofing and wall panels, machines for making and cleaning of ice, cutting ice at rink boards, tribunes with barriers, professional hockey gates with a net, grinders, trainers, sporting complexes and various sport equipment.

| | |  One will hold a scientific-practical conference of students, graduate students and young scientists in the Gorno-Altaisk State University dedicated to 90th anniversary of Oyrotskaya autonomous oblast in April 23-28. The first day, there will be an opening of the conference, and exhibition of scientific achievements of departments and libraries of the Gorno-Altaisk State University. The basic work will be organized in breakup groups. In April 24, one will hold a videoconference with the North-Eastern Federal University (Yakutsk), a circular table "Problems of Russian history", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812, organized in the framework of the Year of History, announced in Russia.
